Letter from the President
As we come off from a successful year which we saw the regional compensation and benefits conference Rewards NW, the first in ten years, CWCG is looking to the future. Rewards NW witnessed over 200 total rewards professionals come together for a day of learning and networking. If you weren’t able to attend the event or need a reminder of all that was covered that day, please visit the Rewards NW website to review the recordings from the conference (www.rewardspnw.com). We look forward another successful event in 2016 when Rewards NW will be held in Seattle.
2015 starts off with some positive changes. CWCG has revamped the programs format, doing away with quarterly events and moving to more frequent, bimonthly events. Throughout 2015, all programs will be held the first Thursday, every other month from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Red Star Tavern. This will allow for more regular opportunities for our members to network and discover new and updated practices.
Anticipated changes in 2015 will include a review of the overall CWCG brand, from our 20 year old logo to our outdated website and even the CWCG name. The CWCG name may not have the recognition outside the Pacific Northwest nor is it a name that is inclusive of all total rewards professionals. In the coming weeks, we will be conducting a survey to seek your input on the name change.
We look forward to hear from our members on how to approach the name change as well as seeing you at the new programs this year.
2015 CWCG President
